Canaveral National Seashore North District/Apollo Beach
I-95 to State Road 44 (Exit 84), East on SR 44 to A1A, South on A1A, seven miles.
Apollo Beach at New Smyrna is the least crowded of the two districts, but parking is more limited. You can park in New Smyrna and ride your bike up the road to a cross-over for a relatively quiet day at the beach.

South District/Playalinda Beach
I-95 to State Road 406 (Exit 80), 406 East to 402 East to Park Entrance Station.
Playalinda Beach at Merritt Island has 1100 parking spaces in 13 lots. The beach is more crowded, but you can usually find a place to park. The south district of the park closes three days before a shuttle launch and reopens the day after a launch.
