Course Knowledge: Designed by Lloyd Clifton and built in 1976, Indigo Lakes is aesthetically marvelous. Each hole is carved out of a forest of pine and palmetto trees, giving the golfer an experience of solitude and serenity. The course also boasts having the largest greens in Florida, averaging 7,000 sq. ft. each. There are more than 100 bunkers strewn throughout the plush layout and surrounding the slightly elevated, sloping greens. Water comes into play on ten of the holes. In 1994, Indigo Lakes played host to the LPGA Tour's Sprint Championship.
