Course Knowledge: Nestled in the gently rolling hills of Lake Mary is one of Central Florida's top-ranked courses. Timacuan is a Ron Garl designed course that provides a great challenge for golfers of all playing abilities. The front nine is reminiscent of a Scottish links-style course, with wide open fairways, rolling hills and deep bunkers. Waste bunkers garnish the back side and water comes into play on several holes. In a poll, GolfWeek Magazine ranked Timacuan the 14th best course in the state. Renovations were made to the course in 1996 by, acclaimed golf course architect, Bobby Weed. |
