Spring Garden, as De Leon Springs was known as in the late 1700s, was a sugar and corn plantation. In the late 1800s the site became a resort. The sugar mill from the plantation days is still here, and houses the Old Sugar Mill Restaurant, where you can cook your own pancakes on a griddle set in the middle of your table.
