When disaster strikes, it can wipe out all evidence that you exist. If you survive, you'll still having a hard time proving it without copies of these:

• Insurance policies, will, contracts, deeds, stocks and bonds
• Inventory of valuable household goods, important telephone numbers
• Savings and checking account numbers
• Passports, social security cards, immunization records
• Credit card account numbers and companies
• Family records (birth, marriage, death certificates)
